Katie Wilson is a Ventura, CA based architectural portrait artist. She is a California native, growing up in the Antelope Valley and then later moving to the San Francisco Bay Area where she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and graduated with a degree in Visual Communications in 2011. It was at FIDM that Katie first learned and began experimenting with her current style of drawing and working with marker and colored pencil mediums.
At present, Katie is creating works under the artist name Artkitectures and has a large portfolio of home and business illustrations. What started as a hobby drawing local architecture has transformed into a way for her capture people’s memories, accomplishments, and moments in time. Her focus is commemorating her clients special places and spaces with her unique style of precision and whimsy, and the level of detail and care put into each piece reflect the strong emotional ties we have to the walls around us.
